Course Content
Become a healthcare specialist
Nursing is a discipline of the future and recent diverse developments have led to a more academic study of nursing. This dual study programme combines nursing study with training to give graduates the best possible education for their future careers.
The first stage of study (1st - 6th semester) consists of integrated training in which students reiceive three years vocational training at one of the cooperating vocational schools to pursue their profession in nursing. It concludes with a state exam in health and medical care including pediatric or geriatric nursing.
The second phase (7th - 9th semester) will be completed at DIT in full-time study, and fter successfully completing the degree thesis, the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) will be awarded.

Career Prospects
The course trains care assistants to gain differentiated understanding of care-related problems on the basis of reference disciplines. It also teaches process-oriented work and transparent presentation in relation to care work.
You will learn responsible and competent care work, therefore you will be able to care for nursing cases and their social environments. Additionally, the aquirement of methodical and social skills will enable you to scientifically design and control and developing processes. Soft skills will help your decision making in complex and confusing situations as well as in possible ethical dilemmas.
